Business/Sales Development Representative, US

Your role

A Quobyte Business Development Representative will be responsible for adding opportunities to the Sales pipeline from a variety of lead sources. From using sites like LinkedIn to working with Quobyte's partners, a BDR will set up meetings with these potential customers to generate interest in using Quobyte for their storage needs. The perfect candidate will be passionate, inquisitive and ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work in an exciting, fast paced, growing startup.

  • Own the lead generation process, setup meetings for field sales/SEs with prospects
  • Work with Marketing to create an event calendar
  • Coordinate sales campaigns with Quobyte partners to drive prospects to webinars, seminars, lunch n learns and other events
  • Input data into CRM and generate reports for sales management

Sales Engineer, Santa Clara, CA and New York Metro Area

Your role

As a Quobyte Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for all outward facing technical issues with customers, prospects, and partners. From the first meeting through to the deployment and beyond, you’ll help and consult the customer with capacity and hardware planning, configuration, setup and installation, evaluation and analysis of results, and benchmarks performed as part of the sales process. You’ll help define architectures, respond to RFPs and public tenders, deliver solutions for customers, and train partners and customers. You will work with OEMs, ODMs and integrators to bring best-of-breed solutions to market. As a Quobyte SE you’ll work closely with marketing and engineering to help incorporate customer feedback into the product.

You are a good listener, with attention to detail and good project management skills. You have good interpersonal skills and can work in a cross-functional environment. You demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on file systems, storage architectures, and competing storage products. You are a self-starter and can work on your own or as part of a team and at times be able to lead.

Willingness to travel within the US is a must.

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 5 years of experience in selling storage or related infrastructure software products to large enterprises and service providers, directly and indirectly through partners
  • Experience in leading responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs
  • Knowledge of storage architectures (NAS, SAN), storage protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3, and block storage), server hardware architectures, and storage media
  • Advanced experience with the Linux command line, system tuning, and networking
  • Good familiarity with Windows
  • Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Exposure to software storage systems like Ceph, Lustre, GPFS, working knowledge of HPC environments and advanced networking architectures
