Storage on Wheels: Meet Quobyte at these Upcoming Events

By  Christina Matern  on

Over the next few weeks you’ll find Quobyte at a bunch of events. Just drop by our brand new booth or listen to one of Felix’ insightful talks. We’re also eager to get in touch directly and answer any questions you might have or help you to get started with and benefit from the advantages of using our data center file system. Come and talk to us: We’re happy to give you a live demo!

Let me just list the November events before getting into a little more detail:

OpenStack Summit Tokyo, October 27–30

We loved the previous OpenStack Summit in Vancouver and we really enjoyed talking to so many OpenStack enthusiasts. There was thus no real question about it: we were also going to attend the upcoming summit in Tokyo.

Getting OpenStack ready for production and maintaining it can be a daunting task, we know. But we’re here to help with a proper storage foundation and are happy to support you on your way to your cloud deployment. Talk to us! You’ll find us at our booth T1, close to the entrance.

There’s more OpenStack conference info at Or you can check the schedule at

inovex Meetup Cologne, November 4

The first week of November we will lead us to Cologne where our partner inovex invited us to speak at their “Let’s talk about Software Defined Data Centers” meetup. Felix will give an introduction to our data center file system and help you get started setting it up.
Inovex is a specialist for modern web platforms with a strong focus on business intelligence, Big Data operations, cloud Infrastructures and data center automation. They carefully select the most appropriate solutions for their clients.

The meetup is open for everyone. Whether you struggle with any questions about data center automation or if you just want to meet us and the guys from inovex, come and join us.

Cloud Expo Europe, Frankfurt, November 10–11

The Cloud Expo is the annual place to be for anyone interested in the cloud sector. So, we didn’t want to miss out on the chance of meeting our clients, existing and prospective partners and anyone interested in the latest trends of infrastructure automation. Felix will give a talk on Tuesday, November 10, at 12.30h at the Virtualisation, Infrastructure, Storage & SDN Theatre.
You can find more detailed information on the talk and on the conference track here.
In case you can’t make it to the talk, don’t worry: You can always find us at booth 603, next to the entrance.
One of our software engineers will be there, too. He’s currently hacking away on a rock solid new testing framework for Quobyte. Take the opportunity and exchange thoughts with him!

We are looking forward to inspiring talks and many interesting discussions. See you at the Cloud Expo Europe in Frankfurt!

Supercomputing SC15, Austin, TX, November 15–20

Just back from Frankfurt, Björn will head over to Austin for the SC15, the international conference for high-performance computing, networking, storage and data analysis. The conference is in its 27th year and we expect it to be another great event, as usual. This year, we’re partnering up with our friends from DST. Come by our shared booth to talk to either – or even better: both of us!
We already kept a keen eye on the HPC research and its progress and innovations long before starting with Quobyte: our work on XtreemFS goes back 10 years now. Also, some of us earned even more spurs working at Google.

You can find more infos and the schedule here.

Dockercon Europe, Barcelona, November 16–17

The biggest docker event in Europe brings together developers, devops and sysadmins of all stripes, but unified in their intent on simplifying deployment and development of their workflow.
When it comes to docker technology, our strongest potential lies in delivering 100% fault-tolerance while allowing you to deploy any application independently. Felix will be present at dockercon and is happy to grab a coffee with you and give you insights about the benefits of combining docker and Quobyte’s software storage. Want to set up a meeting in advance? Just shoot him an e-mail:

inovex Meetup, Karlsruhe, November 18

For a second time that month, we’ll be at a meetup by our friends and partners from inovex, this time in Karlsruhe. So, if you prefer Karlsruhe over Cologne, come meet us there. Felix will give a talk and there’ll also be talks by Mesosphere and inovex.

To attend the event simply visit the Meetup page and register here.

As you can see, November is full of exciting events. But don’t miss out on us in December: stay tuned, we’ll be back with more info on where we’ll be before Christmas.
